Masters Series Syllabus/Structural Integration
The Masters Series teaches a detailed 10 step/session/treatment system called Structural Integration. Using manual therapy / myofascial release technique the therapist takes a patient thru 10-1 hour treatments to re align their poor posture. This system is called Structural Integration
The Masters Series is one of the most sought after asdvanced fascia programs in Canada. The program costs thousands of dollors less then comparable programs. Taught by our Osteopath of 26 years.
What is Fascia?
Fascia is the dense, tough tissue which surrounds and covers all of your muscles, bones and organs. This fascial covering is very strong and very flexible. In fact, it has a tensile strength of over 10,000 pounds!
Advanced Fascial Release/Fascial Manipulation
Advanced Fascial Release/Manipulation is a powerful manual therapy using either gentle or stimulating techniques that have long-lasting effects and is used to release restrictions and adhesions in the body resulting from trauma, recurring injuries and chronic pain. It has been applied successfully to improve postural imbalances and joint movement, decrease muscle and fascial tension, improve breathing and relieve conditions such as migraines, back and neck pain, TMJ dysfunction, plantar fasciitis and fibromyalgia.
Visceral Release
Developed specifically for manual therapists, this work significantly increases palpation skills and dramatically reduces myofascial tension in this critical area. Visceral tension has significant impact on organ health and related myofascial pain patterns.
Strain-Counterstrain and Positional Release
These deceptively simple techniques can provide a dramatic decrease in local pain areas of the soft tissue. They are designed to place the affected soft tissue in the area of most ease and release the structure gently. Developed by osteopaths, these techniques have been used successfully for decades.
Integrated Movement Re-Patterning Therapy
Aligning the body through treatment is one step. Next, old posture habits need to be changed and movement re-education is highly successful in establishing new patterns. This interactive training is fun and easy for you and your clients and easily adapted into your clinical practice. Best of all, it greatly improves your SI joint work and its effects on your clients.
This segment of the Masters Series will include observation, assessment and teaching skills specifically designed for your clients. It will also look at movement rehabilitation and posture re-education through training in the Pilates Method and Integrated Movement Therapies.
